Serum IL-6 levels were identified as a strong predictor for the infarct size, with an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.685 (95% confidence interval of 0.593–0.768, p < 0.0002) and a cut-off value of >6.52 pg/mL, with 66.67% sensitivity and 19.7% specificity.
