The results of RT-qPCR (Figure 8e–j) showed that the expressions of TNF-α mRNA, IFN-γ mRNA, IL-13 mRNA, NF-κB mRNA, IkBα mRNA, and Ikkβ mRNA in the BLM-induced rats increased significantly compared to those in the normal group, while their expression levels were downregulated obviously by TRF and carotene. The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is Bloom syndrome.
