Interestingly, mice fed a HF + EtOH diet demonstrated significant elevations in GCLC (1.27-fold, p = 0.008), HMOX1 (1.23-fold p = 0.02), Keap1 (1.55-fold, p = 0.006), PRDX6 (1.53-fold, p = 0.02), and POR (1.67-fold, p = 0.001) relative to the EtOH-free HF diet. Here, GCLC is linked to hydrops fetalis.
