A high level of UBE2L3 in hepatocellular carcinoma inhibits p65 by down-regulating GSK3β through the ubiquitin-mediated proteasome degradation, rather than by the classical NF-κB signaling pathway, suggesting that an overexpression of UBE2L3 in hepatocellular carcinoma promotes apoptosis evasion through the inhibition of the GSK3β/p65 pathway (96). This evidence concerns the gene UBE2L3 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
