SENP7 and malaria: This means cross-immunogenic reactivity or cross-protection between P. falciparum and SARS-CoV-2 antigens, TRAP, and SSP-2, respectively, suggesting that previously malaria-infected people have antibodies developed due to established memory against P. falciparum, which react with SARS-CoV-2 antigens, and this accounts for the low viral infection rate in malaria-endemic regions of Africa.
