NPPB and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: In univariate analysis, mPAP, PVR, the TAPSE/PASP ratio, 6MWD, FVC and the BODE index significantly predicted mortality whereas age, PH-COPD severity, ESC/ERS risk score, BNP, right atrial area, SvO2, RAP, cardiac index, DLCO and other lung function tests did not (Table 4), although further analysis of the prognostic capability of DLCO revealed an association with short-term mortality (truncated at 2 years after diagnosis; Supplementary Figure 3).
