CD33 and acute myeloid leukemia: Extensive pharmacokinetic (PK) analyses of new dosing regimens as well as updated efficacy and safety data using these regimens led to its approval in 2017 for the treatment of R/R CD33-positive AML in paediatric and adult patients, as well as in combination with the standard “7 + 3” regimen for the treatment of newly-diagnosed CD33-positive AML in adults (56).
