Based on the ROC curve, sensitivity/specifity of a PRL threshold of ≥ 60 ng/ml for the diagnosis of microprolactinoma as compared to other causes of hyperprolactinemia in PCOS women, was 100% (95% CI:56.5% -100%) and 93.7% (95% CI:71.7- 99.7%), respectively (Figure 4B, AUC = 0.962). This evidence concerns the gene PRL and hyperprolactinemia.
