Non-SCNA ASE events are present in genes which have been previously described as putative tumor suppressors and studied in the context of recurrent SCNAs including KIF1B, PLEKHG5, UBE4B, CHD5, CADM1, and ATM. With larger sample sizes, ASE could potentially be utilized to distinguish passenger genes from driver genes within recurrent SCNA regions. Here, PLEKHG5 is linked to neoplasm.
