The activated PKC isoform protein plays a vital role in many important human diseases, including diabetes (PKC-β) (12), cancer (PKC-ε) (13), autoimmune diseases (PKC-θ) (14), Parkinson (PKC-δ) (15, 16) etc. PKC-α, PKC-β, PKC-ε, and PKC-δ are among the most studied molecules in CVD, participate in various CVD, such as atherosclerosis, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and cardiac hypertrophy (17–22). This evidence concerns the gene PRKCB and cardiac hypertrophy.
