Cheng et al. found that overexpression of MACC1 was significantly associated with 5-year overall survival, metastasis-free survival, and disease-free survival (P < 0.05) and was significantly associated with recurrence-free survival (P > 0.05), the expression of MACC1 was significantly correlated with the expression of vimentin and E-cadherin, and MACC1 promoted the progression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma through the EMT process [29].
