Tumor microenvironmental IL-8 plays an important role in promoting tumor angiogenesis in lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and glioma [23] by directly enhancing endothelial cell proliferation, survival, and migration [24], but little information is known about how crosstalk between arsenic-transformed cells and vascular endothelial cells affects tumor growth and angiogenesis through IL-8. The gene discussed is CXCL8; the disease is glioma.
