To explore the mechanisms by which miR-500a-3p inhibits the proliferation and glycolysis of CRC, we firstly used the publicly available algorithms TargetScan and miRDB to find the potential binding sites of glycolytic enzymes, like HK2, PFKP, PGK1 and LDHA, that are downregulated by miR-500a-3p. The gene discussed is HK2; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
