CRP and gout: Median peak temperatures during the gout attack [38.4°C (IQR 38.2–38.7) vs. 37.3°C (37.0–37.7), p < 0.0001] and CRP concentrations [179.7 mg/L (IQR 115.8 −221.3) vs. 77.8 mg/L (30.8–126.7), p = 0.001] were significantly higher in gDHF patients that received antibiotic treatment (n = 10) compared to gDHF patients without antibiotic treatment (n = 40).
