Across all thirty-two tumor types a correlation between the aneuploidy score and parent genes for the three branches of the UPR (IRE1α, PERK and ATF6) was found mainly for three genes from the PERK pathway (EIF2S1, EIF2AK3, and DDIT3), but not for ATF6 or ERN1 (the gene coding for IRE1α) or XBP1. This primary ER sensor genes analysis suggests that SCNA levels correlate mainly with the PERK pathway. The gene discussed is DDIT3; the disease is neoplasm.
