Infiltrating tumor-associated macrophages from Clec7a-/- mice are characterized by higher Major Histocompatibility Complex–II (MHC-II), TNF-α and inducible Nitric Oxid Sintase (iNOS) expression, but lower CD206 compared to macrophages from Clec7a+/+ mice, suggesting a Dectin-1-mediated M2-like reprogramming of myeloid cells in pancreatic carcinoma. This evidence concerns the gene CLEC7A and exocrine pancreatic carcinoma.
