The surfaces of these PEGylated SPIO nanoparticles (NPs) were conjugated with anti-EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) monoclonal antibodies (mAb) for targeted delivery to lung cancer with the EGFR overexpression (Wang et al., 2017) (Figure 4D).
