A systematic review of 82 cases of ICI-associated encephalitis showed that patients with anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase (anti-GAD) or anti-cell surface Abs had a favorable prognosis, whereas patients with other autoantibodies, focal symptoms, and abnormal MRI findings seemed to have poorer outcomes (Velasco et al., 2021). The gene discussed is GAD1; the disease is viral encephalitis.
