This difference in PFS outcome between GOYA and CAVALLI (Supplementary Fig. S5) is potentially explained by the mechanism of action of venetoclax, a highly selective BCL2 inhibitor [19], and its potential to improve treatment outcomes for patients with DLBCL with elevated levels of BCL2 [19, 20, 25, 26]. This evidence concerns the gene BCL2 and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
