QKI, a gene involved in the inhibition of ischemia/reperfusion-induced apoptosis in cardiac muscle cells and involved in the regulation of the transition of fibroblasts toward profibrotic myofibroblasts in cardiac disease [54,63], was the most overexpressed RBP in both fetal-like iPSC-CVPC and heart failure, compared with healthy adult heart (p = 1.7 x 10−94 and p = 6.1 x 10−13, respectively, S18 Table). Here, QKI is linked to heart failure.
