CSNK2A1 and viral infectious disease: CK2α1 has been reported to phosphorylate a vast number of substrates and to regulate numerous cellular processes (Meggio & Pinna, 2003; Filhol & Cochet, 2009; Nuñez de Villavicencio‐Diaz et al, 2017), including cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and transcription, as well as a viral infection.
