IL33 and cardiac hypertrophy: This study shows that LVMI increased with ST2 levels, reflecting that ST2 is a reliable indicator of myocardial hypertrophy, which is in line with the findings of Chen et al. (17), Veeraveedu et al. (18), Ojji et al. (19), and Sanada et al. (20) previously also confirmed the relationship between serum ST2 levels and hypertrophic myocardium, and demonstrated that the IL-33/ST2L system has a biomechanical activation effect which can regulate cardiomyocyte hypertrophy.
