CRP and appendicitis: Student t-test analysis comparing the mean of the continuous variables between the cohort with acute appendicitis and negative appendicectomy showed that patients with negative appendicectomy were younger (p-value 0.0001), had lower mean total WBC (p-value 0.014), lower CRP (p-value 0.0001), and lower total serum bilirubin (p-value 0.0001) levels on admission.
