CFTR and cystic fibrosis: Several CBAVD family studies have found that when the fathers carries a CFTR mutation, his offspring can inherit the mutation and suffer from CF(Patrizio et al., 1993; Wong et al., 2004; Van Hoorenbeeck et al., 2007; Yang et al., 2018; Gaikwad et al., 2020), indicating that CFTR mutants in CBAVD patients have a certain risk of being transmitted to offspring.
