Given the anti-inflammatory properties of roburic acid and the critical role of TNF/TNF-R1-mediated NF-κB signaling in colorectal cancer development and progression, we speculated that roburic acid might disrupt TNF/TNF-R1-mediated NF-κB signaling and suppress the growth of human colorectal cancer cells. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and colorectal cancer.
