For a better understanding of different stages of liver steatosis and fibrosis (e.g., NAFLD, NASH, cirrhosis, and hepatic carcinoma), deep immune-profiling of cellular composite (e.g., non T cells such as monocytes, dendritic cells, NK cells, B cells, and T cells including CD4+, CD8+, regulatory, and cytotoxic killer T cells) cells from PBMCs of patients may provide the significant and unconventional way. The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
