Activated T‐cells of various subtypes are increased within melanoma TLS and are often found in close contact with CD20+ B‐cells (Cipponi et al., 2012; Helmink et al., 2020; Ladányi et al., 2007, 2011), including CD40L+ activated T‐helper (TH) cells (Cabrita et al., 2020), suggesting T‐cell interaction with antigen‐presenting cells and B‐cells with TH‐cells in the TLS, leading to the activation of both cell types. This evidence concerns the gene CD40LG and melanoma.
