IL1B and Cowden disease: In this manuscript, we described epithelial inflammation in CD biopsies using IL-1β and IL-6 as markers in patients at the acute phase of the disease (GCD-CD), after remission of the intestinal lesion (GFD-CD), and in patients with anti-TTG antibodies, who were genetically predisposed to CD (Pot-CD) yet had normal intestinal morphology for 2–3 years (on average) prior to the onset of the intestinal lesion.
