In accordance with these previous reports, we observed that ASFV infection resulted in reduced expression of both markers and, in particular, infection drastically decreased CD16 levels, with marked differences in terms of the percentages of positive cells: infected (p72+) cells presented lower levels of CD16 compared to either mock-infected or uninfected bystander (p72−) cells (Figure 4 and Figure 5). The gene discussed is DDX17; the disease is infection.
