One interesting and, to our knowledge, novel finding was that among patients with preoperative high LV filling pressure, those who exhibited improvement at the 6-month follow-up showed significantly higher levels of preoperative NT-proBNP and a higher LVmass index compared to patients who remained in the high LV filling pressure group, although both groups showed similar proportions of left ventricular hypertrophy. Here, NPPB is linked to left ventricular hypertrophy.
