The increase in G6PD expression was apparent when prostate cancer cells were cultured with media conditioned by either bone marrow stromal cells alone or cocultures of prostate cancer cells and bone marrow stromal cells (Fig. 3B), with conditioned media (CM) from bone marrow stromal cells inducing a dose-dependent increase in G6PD protein and gene expression (Fig. 3, C and D). This evidence concerns the gene G6PD and prostate cancer.
