Positive correlations were identified between the extent and complexity of atherosclerosis at the moment of inclusion, as defined by SYNTAX I Score, and IL-18 (r = 0.15, p = 0.04), fatty-acid binding protein 2, intestinal (FABP2) (r = 0.18, p = 0.01), gastrotropin (GT) (r = 0.21, p = 0.004), natriuretic peptides B (BNP) (r = 0.21, p = 0.006), cathepsin L1 (CTSL1) (r = 0.16, p = 0.03), and C-C motif chemokine 25 (CCL25) (r = 0.16, p = 0.03), respectively. This evidence concerns the gene CCL25 and atherosclerosis.
