In addition, patients with high PTTG1 mRNA levels had worse OS (p = 8.6e − 19) and EFS (p = 3.1e − 20) (Supplementary Fig. 4D, E), indicating that PTTG1 is also a potential prognostic factor in neuroblastoma and may have similar biological functions to PCLAF. To prove that PCLAF can regulate the expression of PTTG1, we transfected SH-SY5Y and SK-N-BE (2) cell lines with siPCLAF, and PTTG1 expression at both the mRNA and protein level was measured by real-time PCR and western blotting, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene PTTG1 and neuroblastoma.
