In patients with the ε4+ genotype, an even higher 89% of patients displayed LDL pattern B. Figure 2b shows that the odds ratio of the ε2+ group with pattern B LDL is 0.316 (95%CI: 0.145~0.686, p = 0.004) compared with the ε3 group, indicating a decreased risk of CHD events, even after adjusting for gender, age, BMI, diabetes, HbA1c, hs-CRP, ALT, and serum creatinine.
