Then, we evaluated whether the distribution of the IFNL4 rs11322783 genotypes in patients with COVID-19 varied according to the count of blood immune cells (total white blood cells number, neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, platelets), levels of inflammation parameters (C-reactive protein, D-dimer, Albumin and LDH), and the rate of ICU admission, thrombotic events, blood bacterial infection (caused by E. coli, S. epidermidis, E. faecalis, S. aureus, A. baumannii and S. hominis), and bacterial pulmonary superinfection (caused by P. aeruginosa and K. pneumoniae).
