There is one historical report that considers that benzylamine oxidase (equivalent to MAOB) may be involved in the degradation of carcinogenic amines of dietary origin to prevent hepatoma [32], but to the best of our knowledge, no metabolites other than GGA produced by enzymatic reactions of CYP3A4 or MAOB have ever been reported to inhibit the development of hepatoma. Here, MAOB is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
