CYP3A4 and hepatocellular carcinoma: There is one historical report that considers that benzylamine oxidase (equivalent to MAOB) may be involved in the degradation of carcinogenic amines of dietary origin to prevent hepatoma [32], but to the best of our knowledge, no metabolites other than GGA produced by enzymatic reactions of CYP3A4 or MAOB have ever been reported to inhibit the development of hepatoma.
