It is possible that it is the triggering of NF-κB inhibitors that underlies the effect of reducing the severity of the inflammatory process in the present study of experimental asthma, in a model of septic shock, as well as in some forms of psoriasis, when muramylpeptides taken during the remission period contributed to a decrease in the severity of the inflammatory process [50,51]. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and psoriasis.
