As to the plasma CYP24A1 level, 26% (95% CI: 10%, 44%) of its variability was jointly explained by three MS-risk SNPs, i.e., rs1870071, rs11567694, and rs7665090, with the first explaining 12% of the total variability; their estimated effect sizes were, respectively, 0.64 (95% CI: 0.33, 0.96), 0.55 (95% CI: 0.23, 0.88) and −0.35 (95% CI: −0.60, −0.11) HC SD.
