The coronavirus 2019 disease (COVID-19) manifests itself mainly as fever, fatigue, cough [4,5] and, less frequently, the presence of upper respiratory tract symptoms, which may be due to the fact that the virus infects cells through angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE-2), which is expressed mainly in cells of the lower respiratory tract [6,7]. This evidence concerns the gene ACE2 and COVID-19.
