It could be proposed that changes in the activation of KDM2A, sirtuins SIRT1 and SIRT6 or of some other (hetero)chromatin modifiers might arise not only in the prostate cancer cells [44] but possibly mediated by exosomes in the blood of prostate cancer patients at specific stages, affecting heterochromatin structure and the expression of repeats located therein.
