Some of the associations recapitulated the findings observed in the family, including low serum calcium levels in individuals carrying the heterozygous genotype for the ADAMTS20 c.4090A>T, osteopenia and osteoporosis at the LS, and a wrist fracture history in women carrying at least one copy of the SELP c.2177T>C alternative allele, and an overall low (osteopenia/osteoporosis) LS and FN BMD in women with the CT genotype for the TGF-β2 c.1136C>T variant. This evidence concerns the gene SELP and Osteopenia.
