GPX1 and prostate carcinoma: Such a relationship was observed between the rs1050450 polymorphism of the GPX1 gene (glutathione peroxidase 1) and the following neoplasms: breast, prostate, bladder and lungs [14,15,16,17] and the rs7579 polymorphism of the SEPP1 gene (selenoprotein P1) with colorectal and prostate cancer [18,19].
