In addition to ENO1’s role in the pathogenesis of pulmonary hypertension, upregulation of other key glycolytic enzymes, such as glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD), hexokinase, pyruvate dehydrogenase, and pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase, have also been implicated in driving pulmonary hypertension [17].
