Through histopathological and immunohistochemical analyses, we demonstrate that the administration of quercetin decreases preneoplastic lesions, fibrogenesis, glycogen accumulation, the expression of CSCs and myofibroblasts markers, the development of drug resistance denoted by decreased ABCC3 expression, and, as a result, the HCC progression. The gene discussed is ABCC3; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
