In the study of Saleh et al. [118], HB5 aptamer, with high selectivity and binding affinity to HER2, was used to develop an aptamer-decorated curcumin-loaded HSA nanoparticle, with the capacity to target HER2-positive breast cancer cells and to increase the water solubility of the drug by 400-fold. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast carcinoma.
