Overexpression of CPEB3(OR = 1.43, 95% CI: 1.30–1.56, p < 0.0001), INPP5E (OR = 1.10, 95% CI: 1.07–1.13, p < 0.0001), and SEC16A (OR = 1.08, 95% CI: 1.05–1.12, p < 0.0001) were associated with higher risk for developing type 2 diabetes, while MYBPC3(OR = 0.95, 95% CI: 0.92–0.99, p = 0.0173), MYRF(OR = 0.94, 95% CI: 0.90–0.98, p = 0.0049), and PMPCA (OR = 0.74, 95% CI: 0.62–0.87, p = 0.0003) showed slightly protective effect on type 2 diabetes (Table 2). Here, SEC16A is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
