Interestingly, recent data showed that epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in most human pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, breast cancer, and colorectal cancer cell lines does not suppress the transcription of E-cadherin, but in fact induces its relocation from the membrane towards Rab11+ late recycling vesicles, a phenomenon called partial (P-EMT) [40]. The gene discussed is CDH1; the disease is breast cancer.
