CD19 and acute lymphoblastic leukemia: For anti-CD19 CAR T cells, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the product Yescarta® (Axicabtagene ciloleucel) for patients with relapsed/refractory (r/r) diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and primary mediastinal B cell lymphoma (PMBCL) based on the results of the ZUMA-1 trial [1], as well as the product Kymriah® (Tisagenlecleucel) for the treatment of patients with r/r B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) based on the ELIANA trial [2] and for patients with DLBCL based on the JULIET trial [3].
