In the present study, Dasatinib could suppress the number of inflammatory macrophages as observed by the decreased expression of renal iNOS and CD68 in kidney, and this may be similar to the findings of Cruz et al. [51], who reported similar effects resulting in improvement of lung functions in an experimental model of silicosis and, thus, reducing inflammation and pulmonary fibrosis. Here, CD68 is linked to pulmonary fibrosis.
