Moreover, our recent study about mice with whole fat–specific deficiency of Trx2 using adiponectin-Cre (Trx2ADKO) indicates that these mice developed hyperglycemia, hepatic insulin resistance, and hepatic steatosis while showing mitochondria abnormalities in BAT (29); however, the role of BAT inflammation in whole-body metabolism could not be determined, as the previous studies used systematic inflammation models. Here, TXN2 is linked to Insulin resistance.
